Our aim
ElbFürsorge wants this website to be easy to use for everyone – regardless of age, eyesight or how they use the internet. The website follows the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.
What has already been implemented
- The “Larger text” switch at the top of every page enlarges all text. The setting is kept for your next visit.
- All content and functions can be operated entirely with the keyboard. The currently selected element is clearly highlighted.
- Text has sufficient colour contrast with the background.
- Images have descriptive alternative texts.
- The pages have a clear heading structure. Form fields are clearly labelled, and missing information is explained in text – not only highlighted in colour.
- If the “Reduce motion” setting is active on your device, animations are switched off.
- The website can also be enlarged smoothly using your browser's zoom function.
Known limitations
The website is continuously reviewed and improved. A full external audit against WCAG 2.1 AA has not yet been carried out. It is therefore possible that some barriers still exist.
